What clothes should I wear during the treatment ?

for Rolfing:                                                                                                                                    Please wear underwear or a bikini, so that you don’t mind being looked at. In the beginning of each session I take a look at your body structure in standing and walking. There is also some work happening off the table in sitting on a stool or in standing and walking.

for everything else:                                                                                                                               you can wear your regular clothing- preferable comfortable

Does Rolfing hurt ?

Rolfing is a hands on and deep tissue treatment which also touches the tense spots in the body that can appear more painful. However the pain should always be in a range that you can stand and also let go. As soon as the tissue tightens because it is too painful we would work against each other and the learning of letting go can’t happen. I need your feedback, if it is too much for you- there are always other ways !

Does Rolfing replace other treatments like Massage Therapy, Osteopathy, Chiropractic…?

No. Rolfing can actually be very beneficial for other treatments. Rolfing and therapies like Massage etc. have a very different approach so that they actually can help each other than replacing it.

How much time should I plan for a Rolfing session.

The session can take about 1,5 up to 2 hours. Please give yourself enough time after the treatment. Sometimes a little walk is the best thing to do right after. Please avoid hard physical work or sports at the day of your treatment.

Is there anything I should think about before a session?

for Rolfing: please don’t use any body lotion or body oil the morning before the session. The slippery skin can make it difficult to get into the fascia tissue.

For deeper healing possibilities I ask to not drink alcohol 24-48 hours prior a session.

If I am not able to make it to my appointment- what to do ?

Please let me know as soon as possible that you have to cancel or move your appointment, at least 24h before the appointment. Cancellations within 24h before the actual appointment have to be charged in full.

Do I have to pay HST ?

At the moment I don’t have to charge for HST. This may change in the future.
